CONFERENCE SPEAKERS



Fr. William Sanderson is the chaplain for the
Catholic Homeschool Association of Omaha.



Fr. Paul C. Hoesing is the Vocation Director
for the Archdiocese of Omaha. He attended St. John Vianney Seminary,
continued his formation for the priesthood at the North American
College and completed his Licentiate in Dogmatic Theology at the
Gregorian University in Rome. He was ordained by Archbishop Elden
Francis Curtiss in 2002.



Rachel Watkins is the homeschooling mother of 11, a
freelance writer and creator of The Little Flower Girl’s Clubs
(www.eccehomopress.com). She and her husband , Matt, are weekly
contributors to the Heart Mind and Strength broadcast. Whatever the
size of your family, her insights can help you live a more joyful,
sane and faithful life.



Teresa Monaghen is the national moderator for the
Pro Sanctity Movement (www.prosanctity.org) and consecrated member
of the Institute of the Apostolic Oblates. She is also the founder
of Camp Fun and Faith for Girls in Elkhorn, NE. Teresa invites every-
one, no matter the age, to say “YES” to the call to be a saint.



Lindy Meyer is a wife and stay at home mom of six
beautiful children and resides in Concordia, KS with her family.
Lindy is the creator of Faith Folders for Catholics,
(lapbooksforcatholics.com) an online business that specializes
in Catholic based lapbooks and other faith-based educational items.



Jack Donnelly is a certified teacher and homeschool dad with a
Master’s in English Literature. He is the director of the Omaha
Homeschool Learning Center (omahahomeschool.com). In his spare time
he teaches at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Bellevue University,
and Metropolitan Community College.



Ruth Murray began homeschooling 16 years ago
due to her children’s unique learning needs. Now that her youngest
child has completed homeschooling, she has begun a new journey of
teaching others how to more effectively help their children and students
with learning disabilities, sensory integration, ADD, anxiety and more.



Diane Anderson has been married to her husband,
John, for 20 years. They are parents to six children, ages 15 to one
year, and have been homeschooling for 9 years. She credits her family’s
homeschooling experience with reawakening her love for her Catholic faith.




Regina Heywood began homeschooling last fall.
It took two years of the Lord asking before she gave Him her “yes”.
Before bringing home her children from parochial school, she spent
countless hours researching about homeschooling. With the first year
completed, Regina and her husband have seen the fruits of homeschooling
their children (ages 11, 9, 8 and 2). They all survived and are very
happy to be home.



Amy Shimerdla is a mother of six children
(ages 11, 9, 7, 6, 3, and 1) and has been homeschooling for six years.
As her family size increased, she realized the need to be more efficient
with her time. Amy will be sharing some of the techniques that she has
implemented in her home that have helped her to balance the needs of a
larger family, homeschooling and family life.



Rita Hejkal and her husband, Tom, have four
children and homeschooled for 25 years. Having navigated the path
from high school to college with each child, Rita will share the
information gained along the way, especially regarding financial aid
and college decisions.



Colleen McNamara has homeschooled her three
children for the past 13 years. She has been active in the Catholic
Homeschool Association of Omaha (CHAO) as coordinator of the monthly
masses and mass choir, as CHAO president for the 2007-2008 school year,
and, as co-coordinator of CHAOS, the senior high youth group of CHAO.
Colleen and her husband Mark currently have one son who is a junior
in homeschool and a son and a daughter who are attending college
within the University of Nebraska system.



Elizabeth Murphy is the oldest of eight
children and began homeschooling in second grade, continuing through
high school. She attended the University of Dallas where she
graduated in May 2009 with a BA in English. Last August, Elizabeth
moved to Kansas City where she works as a Field Agent with Students
for Life of America.
